Gong meditation is a sound practice using therapeutic gong sounds and vibrations to rebalance energy in the body. A powerful mindfulness practice, gong sounds are believed to release stress, calm the mind and wash troubles from our daily lives away. The 7 chakras are the points of physical and spiritual energy in our body. Each energy centre is responsible for specific functions: the Root Chakra or Muladhara is located at the base of the spine influences on our feeling to be grounded; the Sacral Chakra or Svadhishthana is located below the belly button and influences on our sexuality, pleasure and emotions; the Naval Chakra or Manipura is situated above the naval and relates to personal power, fears, and anxiety; the Heart Chakra or Anahata located in the chest relates to love and compassion; the Throat Chakra or Vishuddha is linked to communications; the Third Eye Chakra or Ajna is located between the eyebrows and relates to your intuition; finally, the Crown Chakra or Sahasrara is located on the top of the head and is linked to spiritual connection, responsible for your overall feeling of happiness and a healthy nervous system. When the 7 chakras are aligned, or balanced, body and mind functions are optimum.
Chakra Sound alignment treatment is a deeply relaxing and joyful experience. Placing various balinese bowls on the body and played to harmonise and strengthen each of the chakra centres. We move from deep bass sounds at the root, through enchanting tones for the heart to ethereal high frequencies at the crown as you relax.
Many people report feelings of well-being that last for several days after their treatment. Some people fall asleep during the session, and almost everyone reports feeling freed from tension and anxiety. Sound immersion procures soothing, healing effects that cannot be denied.
